Beans, Beans, the Musical Fruit
The other day at the grocery store, there was a buy-one-get-one free sale on meat, including St. Louis-style ribs. But five pounds of ribs? That would take us quite a while to eat. So the only logical thing to do is to invite friends over to help eat it, right? Nicki and Doug were the guests of honor tonight and they brought along a fun new card game, Bohnanza. It’s kind of like poker, Go Fish, and Apples-to-Apples all in one. With beans. And farming. And bean farming. It was a little tricky to understand at first simply going off the directions, but once you start playing, it gets intriguing, manipulating, and downright competitive. We thoroughly enjoyed the game and will be playing it again. Maybe next time I’ll win.
