A Beautiful Spring Day
Today was one of those days in Chicago that just made you forget the bitter cold of winter and incessant snow that drove you to the brink of madness. The trees are mostly in bloom, but just enough so that they look young and springy. The air was warm but dry, not that sweat-inducing humidity we know is just around the corner. I spent most of the day looking out a window from 53 stories up, but it made it that much more gorgeous when I stepped outside. The new modern wing of the Art Institute opened this week. Rumor has it that it’s free admission for another week if anyone is interested in expanding his or her culture wisdom. Maybe another beautiful day in Chicago will entice me out of the suburbs for an urban adventure.
